Add the chopped chocolate in a microwave safe bowl along with the milk. Microwave the milk and chocolate mixture for about 30 secs or until the chocolate is melted well in the milk.
In a medium mixing bowl/jar, add the chia seeds, sugar, vanilla extract, and chocolate milk that was just prepared and mix well.
Let it settle for 2-3 minutes. Then mix again until you see no clumping.
Cover the bowl/jar and store in the fridge overnight or for at least 1 hour.
